To support his debut solo album, Honora (arriving March 27 via Nonesuch Records), the legendary musician has announced the Honora Tour, a series of highly anticipated live dates set to begin this May.
A Return to Jazz Roots
The tour marks a full-circle moment for Flea, who spent his childhood dreaming of jazz greats like Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie before a late-teen pivot to rock bass altered his trajectory. To bring the intricate, hypnotic grooves of Honora to life, Flea has assembled a "dream team" of modern jazz visionaries.

Intimate Venues and Sold-Out Status
In a stark contrast to the stadium circuits Flea has dominated for decades, the Honora tour will focus on intimate venues in select North American and European cities. These smaller settings were chosen specifically to complement the album's orchestral textures and meditative trumpet melodies, such as his newly released instrumental interpretation of Frank Ocean’s "Thinkin Bout You."
Reflecting the intense curiosity surrounding his solo debut, the tour has already completely sold out. Fans lucky enough to have secured tickets will witness Flea navigating his most vulnerable musical territory yet—swapping the slap-bass pyrotechnics for the nuanced, soulful "trippy melodies" he first envisioned back in 1991.

For Flea, these live dates are the culmination of a rigorous two-year commitment to mastering the trumpet once more. "Sitting in a room and playing the music with them made me feel like I was on drugs," Flea remarked of his collaborators. "I was buzzing, tripping, and floating." This May, audiences in North America and Europe will finally get to experience that same ethereal energy live.
