Manchester’s most storied musical export is preparing for a historic milestone. On Saturday, 4 July 2026, Haçienda Classical will celebrate its tenth consecutive year of sell-out performances at Castlefield Bowl. The event doesn't just mark a decade of orchestral dance music; it cements the show’s legacy as the most-staged act in the history of the iconic outdoor venue.
A Rare Reunion: The Original Voices of House
To honor the double-digit anniversary, producers have pulled out all the stops, announcing a once-in-a-lifetime lineup. For one night only, the "Original Voices of House"—Ultra Naté, Barbara Tucker, CeCe Rogers, and Julie McKnight—will reunite on a single stage.
Backed by the powerful Manchester Camerata Orchestra and the AMC Gospel Choir, these legendary vocalists will perform the genre-defining anthems that shaped a global movement. They will be joined by resident vocalists Melanie Williams, Yvonne Shelton, and Rae Hall, with organizers teasing several "surprise guest appearances" yet to be revealed.
Back to the Roots
The evening will also serve as a deep dive into the Haçienda’s DNA. Original residents Mike Pickering and Graeme Park are set to perform a rare joint set, alongside DJ performances from Tom Wainwright and the legendary Peter Hook.
Reflecting on the milestone, Hook remarked: "To have nine sell-out concerts and be entering our tenth year is the greatest compliment from the people of Manchester. The fact that we are still celebrating what the Haçienda brought to the city in 1982 is incredible."
A Global Phenomenon
What began in 2016 as a supposed "one-off" has evolved into a global powerhouse. From opening Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage to selling out the Royal Albert Hall, Haçienda Classical has redefined the "rave-meets-orchestra" concept. As Park notes, the 2026 show will feature a brand-new set specifically curated to "share the joy" of this decade-long journey.
