Canadian indie-folk sensation Cat Clyde has announced her fourth full-length album, Mud Blood Bone, set for release on March 13 via Concord Records. To celebrate the launch, the Métis artist will bring her raw, "nomadic" songwriting back to the UK as part of an extensive global headlining tour this spring.
A Sound Forged on the Move
Mud Blood Bone was produced by Drew Vandenberg (Faye Webster, Toro Y Moi) and features a collaboration with folk darling Courtney Marie Andrews. The album captures a unique sonic intersection: the rockabilly grit of Sierra Ferrell mixed with the vulnerable, avant-folk volatility of Big Thief.
Much of the record was penned in transit—including sessions on a narrowboat in England and within her 1973 Boler trailer in Ontario. “Constantly being on the move forces me to be present,” Clyde explains. “You can’t hide behind comforts.” This sense of independence is palpable in the lead single, “Another Time,” released today. The track explores the non-linear nature of time and the "bittersweet" joy of constant evolution.
UK Connections and Roots
Clyde’s connection to the UK is more than just a place to write; her music bridges the gap between North American Blues and the folk traditions that influenced her indigenous Métis heritage. Her "ferocious confidence" as a performer stems from a lifetime of music, from listening to her grandfather’s fiddle in Northern Ontario to busking through her teens.
Spring 2026 Tour
Following a massive North American run in March and April with Boy Golden, Clyde is set to cross the Atlantic for a series of highly anticipated UK and European dates throughout May and June. While the full list of regional venues is being finalized, fans can expect intimate performances that mirror the "jetlagged dream state" and raw honesty of her new material.
Mud Blood Bone will be available on all streaming platforms and physical formats on March 13.
