Scotland’s premier post-punk outfit, The Twilight Sad, have officially broken their seven-year silence. Alongside the announcement of their deeply personal sixth album, IT’S THE LONG GOODBYE (due 27th March via Rock Action), the band has unveiled an extensive run of headline tour dates across the UK and Europe, followed by high-profile summer stadium appearances.
A Return to the Stage
The upcoming tour marks a triumphant return for the duo of James Graham and Andy MacFarlane. After years of personal loss and health struggles, the band is set to translate the "tenderness and tempestuous force" of their new material into their famously cathartic live performances.
The headline leg kicks off in Milan on 12th April, winding through Europe before hitting a series of major UK venues. A significant highlight includes a performance at London’s Roundhouse on 30th April, and due to overwhelming demand, the band has already added a second night at the iconic Glasgow Barrowlands on 6th May.
Special Guest Appearances with The Cure
The Twilight Sad’s connection with The Cure remains a cornerstone of their journey. After Robert Smith contributed guitars and keys to the new record, the band will join the legends once again as special guests for a run of massive outdoor shows in June and July, including dates in Cardiff, Dublin, and Belfast.
