The Molotovs, the explosive brother-sister duo, have announced the 'Wasted On Youth' UK tour for January and February 2026, a massive run of dates dedicated to supporting the country’s independent music venues. The tour will be in support of their highly anticipated debut album, Wasted On Youth, which is set for release on January 30, 2026.
Championing the Future of British Rock
Comprising 17-year-old Matthew Cartlidge and 19-year-old Issey Cartlidge, The Molotovs are quickly becoming recognized as one of the UK’s most thrilling live acts. They recently received a glowing five-star review from Music News, which praised their "Youth, passion and a refusal to concede to apathy," while Punk In Focus dubbed them "the future of British Rock."
The tour follows a whirlwind period for the band, including a sold-out, raucous headline show at London's 1,500-capacity Electric Ballroom in October, despite having released only two singles at the time. Their rising profile has earned them major support slots, with Iggy Pop personally choosing them for his U.S. shows and an upcoming arena run with YUNGBLUD.
A Stand for Independent Stages
The 'Wasted On Youth' tour will see the duo hit vital independent stages across the UK, including King Tuts in Glasgow, Gorilla in Manchester, Thekla in Bristol, and London's iconic 100 Club.
Announcing the dates, Matthew Cartlidge stressed the importance of their chosen venues: "We want to make sure we’re playing all of those vital independent stages that keep new talent coming through." He emphasized that the tour is a stance to "stand with grassroots venues that help keep music alive, and formed an intrinsic part of the band’s origins."
The tour kicks off on January 6th, just after the release of their recent single ‘Rhythm Of Yourself’, which became their third consecutive Top 3 single on the physical chart. With their debut album on the horizon, the 'Wasted On Youth' tour promises to deliver their raw, high-energy sound directly to the heart of the UK's live music community.
