The Great Estate, Cornwall's premier summer festival, has announced that British rock legends Skunk Anansie will headline the main stage on Sunday, May 31, 2026. Famed for their powerful and explosive live shows, the band will close out the weekend with a dynamic performance that promises to blend new tracks from their recent album, The Painful Truth, with fan-favorite hits like "Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)" and "Weak."

With a career spanning over three decades, Skunk Anansie, led by the iconic Skin, have established themselves as a vital force in British music. The band's return to Cornwall follows a major UK tour and comes on the heels of their most recent album's critical and commercial success. According to festival directors Ben Hall and Ian Whittaker, securing Skunk Anansie is a "dream booking" that will deliver an "unforgettable close to the weekend."

Beyond the music, The Great Estate is known for its unique and eccentric atmosphere. The festival transforms the Scorrier Estate into a "rambunctious garden fête" filled with a diverse array of entertainment. Attendees can expect a mix of immersive theatre, cabaret, comedy, and circus acts. The festival also features woodland raves, hidden gin gardens, and long-table feasts.

The event caters to a variety of tastes, offering activities for families during the day and after-dark surprises for late-night revelers, including silent discos and the infamous Madame Wong’s House of Wrong. The festival's lineup of artists is still growing, with more names to be announced soon. Tickets are currently on sale, with day tickets for Sunday priced at £60 and Early Bird Weekend Camping tickets also available. The festival runs from May 29-31, 2026.
