20 June 2025
Coldplay have officially announced the eclectic lineup of support acts set to join them for their highly anticipated, sold-out UK stadium dates this August and September, including an unprecedented ten-night residency at London's Wembley Stadium.
Fans can look forward to a diverse range of talent gracing the stage before the global superstars. Nigerian pop sensation Ayra Starr, acclaimed London singer-songwriter beabadoobee, Palestinian-Chilean R&B phenomenon Elyanna, and Grammy-winning Nigerian artist TEMS will serve as main support across the various shows.
The band's inaugural concerts in Hull will see local hero, hip-hop artist Chiedu Oraka, open the Craven Park shows on August 18th and 19th, with Ayra Starr also performing.
A unique and captivating addition to the Wembley Stadium lineup is renowned Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel alongside the internationally celebrated Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, who will open all ten London dates. Rising Malaysia-born, London-based singer Chloe Qisha will also make an appearance at Wembley.
These twelve UK shows, which sold out in mere hours in September 2024, mark a significant milestone for Coldplay, making them the first act to ever play a ten-night run at Wembley Stadium. In a commitment to local communities, 50% of tickets for the Hull shows were sold to fans with local postcodes.
Beyond the music, Coldplay continues to champion sustainability and social responsibility. Ten percent of the band's proceeds from the Wembley and Hull shows will be donated to the Music Venue Trust to support grassroots UK venues. Furthermore, in a world-first for a stadium show, the band has pledged to power the Wembley concerts' production with 100% solar, wind, and kinetic energy, aiming for a truly eco-conscious experience.
This news follows Coldplay's continued global success, including winning Top Rock Touring Artist at the Billboard Music Awards for the second consecutive year. Their "Music Of The Spheres World Tour" has already sold over 12 million tickets worldwide, becoming the highest-attended tour in history, and has achieved a remarkable 59% reduction in CO2e emissions compared to their previous stadium tour.
