grandson announces intimate London benefit show for War Child ahead of Glastonbury
11 June 2025
grandson, the genre-bending artist known for his potent social commentary, is set to play a special intimate benefit show for War Child at The Lower Third in London on June 23rd. This highly anticipated performance comes hot on the heels of his recent sold-out Los Angeles benefit for the LGBT Center and precedes his headline slot on Glastonbury’s Left Field Stage on June 29th, the festival's hub for activism and political discourse.
Tickets for The Lower Third show will be available for purchase this Thursday, June 12th, at 10 AM BST. In a unique opportunity, fans can also enter a War Child prize draw for a chance to win tickets for just £10. The prize draw launches today, Tuesday, June 10th, and runs until June 19th, with all proceeds directly supporting War Child's vital work with children in global conflict zones.
Jordan Benjamin, widely known as grandson, expressed his motivation for the show: "Modern rock and roll that stands for something that lives and breathes across the pond. I’m excited to bring these resistance sounds back to London, and there’s no better way to do it than a benefit show for War Child. Let’s raise thousands of pounds for a nonprofit in opposition to the modern war machine burning through Gaza and beyond, and raise hell while we do it.”
This London engagement marks a significant moment as grandson gears up for the release of his third full-length album, 'INERTIA,' due out on September 5th. The album, which can now be pre-ordered, promises to be his darkest, hardest, and most uncompromising work yet. Its dominating theme champions class solidarity against the celebritization of billionaires, while tackling pressing issues from queer rights and modern fascism to misogyny and the Palestinian solidarity movement. Musically, 'INERTIA' delivers colossal riffs, raging vocals, and soaring hooks, designed as a rallying cry for social justice.
In addition to these key UK dates, grandson's upcoming schedule includes select European festivals and significant performances as a guest for Linkin Park.
