Music icons Duran Duran are set to delight Irish fans with two spectacular concerts this summer. The legendary British band will electrify the stages at Dublin’s Malahide Castle on 30 June and Cork’s Virgin Media Park on 1 July 2025, for two unforgettable nights of live music.
The Irish dates form part of a wider European Tour that includes two UK shows in Exeter and Chelmsford on 3rd and 5th July, as well as performances in Finland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, Germany and Spain throughout June into early July.
Joining the multi-award-winning Rock & Roll Hall of Famers as special guests will be long-time friend and hit-making collaborator Nile Rodgers, who will bring the ultimate party atmosphere to Dublin and Cork as he performs hit after hit with his band CHIC. Nile worked with Duran Duran on their global number one single The Reflex, alongside a myriad of other tracks, across their four-decade career.
Tickets go on Sale 10AM this Friday.
Fans can expect a setlist packed with classics like Hungry Like the Wolf, Ordinary World, and Rio, alongside newer tracks from their acclaimed 2023 album Danse Macabre. Their 10th UK Top 5 album forms part a series of recent landmark achievements, including headlining Latitude Festival and London’s Hyde Park, sold-out UK and US arena tours, performing at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace, closing the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in their hometown of Birmingham, and their 2022 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Nile Rodgers is both a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and a multiple GRAMMY Award winning songwriter, composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist. In 2023 he became the first creator to be awarded a Lifetime Achievement Grammy for his legacy in the same year as being awarded a Grammy for his new work with Beyoncé on the smash hit Cuff It.
As the co-founder of CHIC, Nile pioneered a musical language that generated chart-topping hits like Le Freak, the biggest selling single in the history of Atlantic Records and sparked the advent of hip-hop with Good Times and Rapper’s Delight. His work in The CHIC Organisation, including We Are Family for Sister Sledge and I’m Coming Out for Diana Ross, and his productions for artists such as David Bowie (Let’s Dance), Madonna (Like A Virgin) and Duran Duran (The Reflex), have sold more than 500 million albums and 100 million singles worldwide, while his innovative, trendsetting collaborations with Daft Punk, Daddy Yankee, LE SSERAFIM and Beyoncé reflect the vanguard of contemporary hits.
