Arsenal has collaborated with UK grime MC and Arsenal supporter, Ghetts on a pre-match video ahead of the club’s home fixture against Newcastle United on Saturday 24th February.

The club is focused on lifting and supporting talented individuals and communities within the Arsenal family, and this latest collaboration follows on from our 2023/24 Away Kit launch, which celebrated the club’s Islington roots by broadcasting the brightest Arsenal-supporting artists onto the world stage, and showcasing the creativity, style and cultural influence of the club's family. Arsenal supporter Jelani Blackman also performed an album listening party at Emirates Stadium in November last year.

The video featuring Ghetts includes footage from matches this season projected onto the stadium’s walls, with the link-up arriving on the same day as Ghetts’ new album, ‘On Purpose, with Purpose’ which follows his critically acclaimed 2021 record ‘Conflict of Interest’, which was nominated for that year’s Mercury Prize. It also follows Ghetts’ recent MOBO win, with the artist receiving the MOBO Pioneer Award, recognising his pioneering contributions to music. In his new album, Ghetts talks around growth, standing firm and fearlessness – tying in naturally to the club in being courageous in the pursuit of progress.

The Plaistow-born artist – real name Justin Clarke – will attend tomorrow’s match as a special guest, where the video will be played before the players walk out onto the pitch ahead of kick-off.
