Mindchatter – the acclaimed artist project of singer, songwriter, and producer Bryce Connolly – today announces an inquisitive new EP ‘This Is A Reminder That You Are Not Behind Your Face’, arriving February 2nd on ODESZA’s imprint Foreign Family Collective. The five-track project follows in ‘Spiritual Puberty’s’ footsteps as it finds Connolly making sense of an overstimulated world while personally wrestling with inner vices. “Brain Pills”, the lead single from the forthcoming EP, seeks holistic healing amidst fickle fixes.
From Connolly, “Brain Pills is about my experience being prescribed ADHD meds from a psychiatrist over an app. The whole process is extremely goofy. I was diagnosed by a woman wearing a hoodie… I’m pretty sure I was older than her, too. Anyways, it seems like this has become the new normal because a lot of people are relating to the song.”
Recently welcomed into the Foreign Family Collective fold, Mindchatter has already carved out a special niche in the music world with his unique sound, lyricism, and production. Known for his ability to blend introspective and thought-provoking lyrics with live keys, mallets, and masterful synth patterns, Connolly's music resonates with audiences seeking a deeper, more meaningful experience on the dance floor.
Aside from his masterful production, Mindchatter’s dynamic live sets feature his talent on keys, sample pads, mallets, and of course, his signature vocals. His all-encapsulating performances also incorporate enveloping visual components that has landed him bookings at Lightning in a Bottle, Okeechobee, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Life is Beautiful, CRSSD Festival, and The DoLab at Coachella. Similarly, he has joined major artists on tour such as Polo & Pan and SG Lewis and has led headlining tours of his own, most notably with his 14-city DREAM SOUP tour that sold-out stops at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere and LA’s El Rey Theatre among many other venues.
Mindchatter will hit the road again this February starting in Victoria, BC’s Upstairs on the 7th and will make his way through Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Austin, Chicago, Toronto and more before wrapping up at Brooklyn’s Brooklyn Steel March 16th. The recently released ‘Spiritual Puberty’ and the forthcoming ‘This Is A Reminder That You Are Not Behind Your Face’ will be available to purchase on the tour as a double LP.
