Indie pop upstarts BLOXX are back after two years with a soaring new single 'Television Promises'.

Making their long-awaited return after dropping an electrifying debut album 'Lie Out Loud' in 2020 and follow up EP 'Pop Culture Radio' in 2021, the London four-piece fronted by the powerhouse lyricist Fee Booth are on fine form, as they announce their next EP project 'Modern Day'.

Increasingly the band and showing they have something to say, and 'Television Promises' serves up that perfect combination of deep, relatable undertones with a playful and spirited tone. Effectively described by the band as "A love/hate-letter to the lack of reality in the so called reality of TV and Social Media", it's another stadium worthy indie anthem to kick off this promising new era for the band. Speaking about the band's new track and some of the lyrical themes covered, Fee added: "I wrote it about being addicted to my phone and shit TV over lockdown. I had to take a step back and think I’m being sold a dream that isn’t reality, at all. I think I just have a lot to say about what goes on in movies, opposite from what my life experience of the entertainment industry is. It’s a lot realer."

'Television Promises' is the lead single from their upcoming EP, 'Modern Day', which is slated for an 11th August release via the punchy Manchester label Scruff of the Neck Records, and just in time for festival season where BLOXX are always guaranteed to steal the show.

The last few years have seen the Uxbridge four piece stake their claim as one of the UK's leading indie pop outfits, crafting a definitive brand of confessional, relatable anthems that don't shy away from personal issues - whether that's LGBTQ+ representation in the scene, relationship breakdowns, or mental health.

With more new music coming over the horizon, expect another groundbreaking year filled with raucous live shows and more.
