Röyksopp released their critically acclaimed, epic, Profound Mysteries project throughout 2022, garnering 50m streams to date, and receiving huge support from BBC 6Music. The three part series encompassing a huge output of music, art and short films was a unique undertaking and one of the most ambitious music projects ever released.

Röyksopp’s 2023 ‘True Electric’ EU Tour will start in Sweden on 16th February including dates at London’s Troxy on 19th February (in replacement of Brixton Academy due to closure) and Tempodrom in Berlin on 23rd February. All dates sold out apart from London, Prague and Oslo where a few tickets remain.

The ‘True Electric’ tour will be the legendary duo’s first tour since 2017. Last year Röyksopp premiered their dance-fuelled live show to festivals in Norway, reminding everyone why they’re one of the world’s must see live artists.

Following their huge &ME remix of ‘Impossible’ featuring Alison Goldfrapp last year, Röyksopp launched 2023 with a new series of remixes from Profound Mysteries II, commencing remixes of the Susanne-Sundfør-featuring ‘Oh, Lover’ by French melodic techno producer NTO (AllPoints).

Further remixes over the coming months will arrive from an array of new and established producers. Sought-after Italian-Siberian producer and DJ Anfisa Letyago follows her high-profile 2022 remix commissions (Moby, Stephan Bodzin) with a reimagination of ‘Unity’ that fully explores the breakbeat-heavy sound of Röyksopp original featuring Karen Harding. Both the freshly-announced Ninja Tune signee Salute and platinum-selling US producer Baauer have also remixed the same track. British techno producer Massano (Afterlife) takes on the epic ‘Control’ whilst Munich-based Producer Innellea closes out this series of Profound Mysteries II remixes with a rework of the Astrid S collaboration ‘Let’s Get It Right.’

In addition to the aforementioned &ME remix of ‘Impossible,’ chosen as Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune of 2022 and streamed over 4m times, Röyksopp’s Profound Mysteries also already received reworks from Henry Saiz, Rodriguez Jr, Township Rebellion and most recently Qrion. The latter’s remix of “Breathe” arrived earlier this month and has already attracted heavy playlist support via Spotify’s Altar and Electronic Rising.
