SYML has announced details of a major headline European Tour in Spring 2023 following the release of his second album The Day My Father Died, available February 3 via Nettwerk. The tour includes four UK shows including London's KOKO on April 19. The full run of dates is in the PR below including shows in Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol and Dublin. Tickets on sale below.
To celebrate the announcement, SYML - the solo project of US singer, songwriter and producer Brian Fennell – has unveiled a stunning live version of new single "Howling" featuring Lucius, filmed in his hometown of Seattle. Also available from the new album is the hauntingly beautiful "Lost Myself", co-sung by Elbow frontman Guy Garvey.
Recorded and produced in Fennell's hometown with fellow Seattle-native Phil Ek (Band of Horses, Father John Misty, Fleet Foxes), The Day My Father Died is his first album to feature a full band. In addition to Guy Garvey and Lucius, the new LP includes contributions from Sara Watkins and Charlotte Lawrence.
