House Gospel Choir have today announced their headline show at London’s iconic KOKO, which re-opened in April this year. A favourite of Prince, Kanye West, Madonna and Stormzy, KOKO has a long history of supporting the world’s most exciting emerging talent, and House Gospel Choir is no exception to this. The show will be taking place on Thursday 1st December.
House Gospel Choir burst onto the scene with ‘Salvation’ in a debut single that was crowned BBC Radio 1 ‘Hottest Record’ by Annie Mac , peaking at #1 in the Music Week Cool Cuts Chart and #5 in the Billboard Dance Club Chart. Their debut album, RE//CHOIRED, released via Island Records, has some of the biggest producers in dance music, house legends Todd Terry and DJ Spen, Toddla T, Grammy-winning producer Alex Metric and UK Gospel legend Nicky Brown. Their latest releases include collaborations with the Ella Henderson, Rudimental, Oliver Heldens and Nile Rodgers. As well as collaborating with the original legendary house vocalists Barbara Tucker, Crystal Waters and Ultra Nate, HGC had career defining moment this summer closing 51st State Festival with Dennis Ferrer.
