Last night, two-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated artist Kehlani kicked off their Blue Water Road tour with an incredible show in Portsmouth, VA at Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion featuring special guests Rico Nasty and Destin Conrad. The multi-platinum songstress played chart-topping hits such as “Can I,” “Toxic,” and “Distraction,” as well as “wish i never,” “everything,” and more from her latest album, Blue Water Road.
Blue Water Road, which entered the Top 10 on the Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums in May 2022, signals a new chapter in Kehlani’s career, as its primarily R&B and orchestral pop song collection revolves around spiritual, sexual, and emotional themes. Developed from tracks originally meant to be bonus songs for the deluxe version of their critically-acclaimed 2020 album It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, Kehlani’s third studio album features guest appearances from Blxst, Justin Bieber, Syd, Jessie Reyez, Ambré, and Thundercat, and represents a metaphorical journey to new destinations in the artist’s mind.
Kehlani will continue their tour, which celebrates the latest album, through North America with shows in Atlanta, New York, Toronto, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and more before wrapping up the North American leg in Honolulu, HI on Friday, October 21st at Waikiki Shell. They will then head to Europe, starting the second leg Thursday, November 17th in Copenhagen, Denmark, before continuing on through Stockholm, Berlin, Paris, London, and more before finishing the tour on December 12th in Manchester, UK at Victoria Warehouse.
