Lettuce release second single and tour dates
23 April 2022
In a whirlwind of electric piano and unison horn lines, modern funk masters Lettuce are back with ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Alright’, the second single to be lifted from their upcoming new album, ‘Unify’.
This uplifting funk freight train of a track is Lettuce keyboardist Nigel Hall’s reinterpretation of a classic Clark Sisters tune that was written in similarly uncertain times. Hall states that “I was inspired by the Clark Sisters, and it was written in a time when we all needed to be reminded that everything was going to be okay. It really spoke to me, and all of us, given what we’ve all been going through.”
Lettuce drummer Adam Deitch adds that “Nigel's contributions to Lettuce have been so important to our growth musically and as a family. He chose to remake this tune and completely crushed the arrangement!”
Surely the funkiest band around, the Boston, US-based sextet will release ‘Unify’ on 3rd June. Their eighth studio record in total, it is the third in a row to be made at Colorado Sound Studios in Denver and completes a loose trilogy that began with 2019’s GRAMMY-nominated ‘Elevate’, and continued with 2020’s ‘Resonate’.
