Angèle's breakout debut album Brol (2018, 1M sold in France, 500k in the rest of world) made her an instant, fresh Francophone star. She counts more than 3M followers on Instagram and 5.7M monthly listeners on Spotify. In 2019, shere released a music video for her song “Balance Ton Quoi” in response to the French #Balancetonporc movement–France’s equivalent of #MeToo. The video currently has ninety-seven million views on YouTube and has been hailed as an ingenious way to denounce the sexism and the misogyny that women face every day. She is a spokeswoman for her generation, a feminist, fluid and all-encompassing, a pick-and-mix artist working in a world in which musical genres are a distant memory. Pop, rap and electro are all thrown into her musical blender.

Besides working her music, she is also the face of Chanel's 2021 Eye Makeup Collection and is an overall Chanel ambassador.

Angèle recently ecounted her real life in 'Angèle', a Netflix documentary with great honesty and a disarming simplicity, beyond the trappings of fame and clichés, available since November 26th
