Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball, with Barclaycard is back, bigger than ever before! The two-day extravaganza will be the first multi-artist concert since the pandemic began at The O2, London.
The biggest hit music artists from around the world will descend upon London’s iconic The O2 Arena, performing their biggest hits for Capital listeners across the weekend of Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th December 2021.
The massive line-up for night one of the UK’s biggest Christmas party was revealed live on Capital Breakfast by hosts Roman Kemp, Sonny Jay and Sian Welby today.
Taking to the stage on Saturday 11th December are Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Years & Years, Jax Jones, Clean Bandit, Becky Hill, Jesy Nelson, Sigrid, Mimi Webb and The Capital Weekender Live with MistaJam and Friends with Billen Ted, 220 KID & Riton.
In a huge exclusive for Capital listeners, Grammy Award-winning global megastar Justin Bieber will make a long-awaited return to play for UK fans at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball. The Ball will also be Justin Bieber’s only live show for fans in Europe this year, and his first major performance in the UK since 2017, following an intimate acoustic session in London at the start of last year. Justin released his multi-platinum selling album ‘Justice’ earlier this year, featuring the chart-topping global smash hits ‘Peaches’ featuring Giveon and Daniel Caesar, ‘Holy’ featuring Chance The Rapper, and ‘Anyone’. He also collaborated with The Kid LAROI on ‘Stay’, one of the biggest songs of the year. With over 90 billion career streams and over 80 million albums sold worldwide, Justin Bieber is one of the biggest artists in the world and one of the biggest male solo artists of all time and his exclusive performance at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard promises to be a huge moment.
Multi-award-winning global superstars Coldplay will play night one of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard. Coldplay are one of the world’s biggest and best-selling bands, having sold over 100 million albums worldwide as well as winning 7 GRAMMY and 9 BRIT Awards. They made their highly anticipated comeback earlier this year when they returned to The Official Big Top 40 with the chart-topping ‘Higher Power’, as well as their US no.1 hit with BTS ‘My Universe’. The band’s latest album ‘Music Of The Spheres’ became the UK’s fastest-selling LP of 2021 upon its release in October. In an unmissable set for fans, Coldplay will play their first show in The O2 since 2016 when they take to the stage at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball.
Years & Years will also play Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard, after Olly Alexander wowed the crowd at his first gig as a solo artist at Capital Up Close Presents…with Barclaycard in August. Known for his huge hit songs including ‘King’, ‘Breathe’ and The Official Big Top 40 no.1s ‘Starstruck’ and ‘It’s A Sin’, Years & Years have collaborated with artists including Kylie Minogue, Jax Jones, Elton John and MNEK.
Jax Jones is guaranteed to turn up the party vibes with an epic set on Saturday. DJ, songwriter, record producer and remixer, Jax Jones has amassed over 4 billion streams and 3 million single sales and has worked with artists including Mabel, Years & Years, RAYE and MNEK. Jax Jones rose to fame with his number-one single ‘I Got U’ and has since released massive tunes like ‘Out Out’ and ‘I Miss U’.
Fan favourites Clean Bandit also feature on the bill and will play some of their biggest songs on The O2 stage. Clean Bandit have exceeded more than 14.5 billion streams and 6.2 billion YouTube views and have scored no.1s on The Official Big Top 40 with their songs ‘Rockabye’ feat. Anne-Marie and Sean Paul and their GRAMMY-winning breakout single ‘Rather Be’ feat. Jess Glynne.
British singer-songwriter Becky Hill also features on the line-up. Crowned the second most-streamed British Female Artist on Spotify UK in 2019, Becky has released huge hits including ‘Heaven On My Mind’ and ‘Better Off Without You’ and has collaborated with artists including David Guetta, Sigala and Tiësto.
Jesy Nelson will top off the sensational 2021 line-up by making her solo debut at a Capital Ball with what will also be one of her first ever performances as a solo star. After releasing her debut solo single ‘Boyz’ featuring Nicki Minaj this year which reached no.2 on The Official Big Top 40, Jesy’s highly anticipated set will definitely be one to watch at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard.
Sigrid will also join the star-studded line-up for night one of the Ball. Sigrid’s set at Capital’s Summertime Ball in 2019 was a sensational performance and she will be making her return to a Capital Ball this Christmas to perform all her biggest hits for listeners.
One of the hottest breakthrough stars of 2021, Mimi Webb will also play night one of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball. Mimi Webb shot to fame this year with her huge singles ‘Good Without’, ‘Dumb Love’ and ‘24/5’ and she'll make her debut at a Capital Ball when she takes to the stage.
Brand new for 2021, dance legend MistaJam – who joined Capital in 2020 to front brand new station Capital Dance and relaunch The Capital Weekender – will bring high NRG club vibes to The O2 on the Saturday night. Following the huge success of Capital’s MistaJam & Friends rooftop parties earlier this year, MistaJam will get the UK’s biggest Christmas party well and truly going with The Capital Weekender Live with MistaJam and Friends featuring huge DJs Billen Ted, 220 KID and Riton. They’ll be hitting the decks and playing some of the biggest club mixes and dance anthems.
The launch of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard 2021 continues tomorrow, when the massive hit music artists playing night two (Sunday 12th December) will be revealed live on Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp, from 8am.
Capital VIPs who are signed up and Barclaycard customers will get exclusive pre-sale access to tickets from Thursday morning, 9:30am, with tickets going on general sale exclusively via Global Player at 9am on Friday morning.
