Today, rising Glaswegian pop duo HYYTS have released their emphatic new single ‘Singing Your Name’ via Warner Records UK. The single comes ahead of the duo supporting BRITs Rising Star Griff on her sold out UK tour later this month, culminating at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire, and their own recently-announced headline tour in November, seeing them bring their exhilarating live set to venues across the UK.

‘Singing Your Name’ showcases HYYTS’ trademark unashamed pop sonics and lyrical honesty to form a single that is as meta as it is euphoric. It also continues what has been an incredible year so far with their recent Helluvatime EP accumulating support from The Observer, Radio 1, Graham Norton, Elton John and more, winning Best Pop Act at the Scottish Music Awards and a nomination at The Scottish Alternative Music Awards, and more.

“This song is meta as f*ck - it’s this big jumpy pop song about how much we hate writing songs about our exes because we have to sing them to crowds every night and re-live that pain, so we’re literally going to be singing this to a crowd about how sh*te they’re making us feel lol” Adam says. He continues, “This song is like the lovechild of Hall & Oates and the Sugababes and we imagine it being the soundtrack of a noughties reality TV star’s fitness DVD. It encapsulates what HYYTS is about - we’re intentionally un-cool and just two fragile wee boys from Glasgow writing sad bangers that are universal and inclusive and make people want to dance.”
