Jamaican superstar and worldwide King of the Dancehall, Beenie Man, announces his long-awaited return to UK shores this summer, at the inaugural YAM Carnival.

With over 3 decades at the top, the Grammy-Award winning entertainer has been 12 years without gracing the UK with one of his legendary live performances. Now on 28th August 2021 a true icon returns. An undeniable leader of the carnival scene, Beenie Man’s status as a one of the world’s best performers is untouchable, and his celebratory set this Bank Holiday weekend will be a monumental festival moment this summer, one to be remembered for many more years to come, and one definitely not to be missed!

With anticipation already skyrocketing, and only one month away from YAM Carnival’s very first outing, this enormous line-up addition really seals the deal for what is set to be London’s biggest celebration of Black music and culture. Representing the Black experience and influence around the world, featuring the most exciting names from Africa, from the British, American and Canadian diaspora - now Beenie Man adds to a phenomenal crop of artists.

Expect a host of classic dancehall hits from a whopping catalogue stretching back to his early breakthrough days as a Jamaican sound system deejay, through to his first major chart-topping hits in the 90s, and collaborations with everyone from Janet Jackson to The Fugees.

Beenie Man joins this incredible Carnival bill, touching down on Clapham Common on 28th August, featuring the likes of Davido, Kehlani, NSG, Yemi Alade, Koffee, Ari Lennox, Pa Salieu, Nao, Darkoo, Patoranking, Femi Kuti, Fally Ipupa, Omah Lay, Rema, Midas The Jagaban, Princess Nokia, Ms Banks and many more.

Also making its debut in London is the Afrotronic stage, bringing together the best in Black electronica from Amapiano to Afro House, hosting the likes of Honey Dijon, Richy Ahmed, Culoe De Song, Sef Kombo & Kitty Amor, DJ Lag, DBN Gogo, Vigro Deep, Jaguar and more.
