A WORLD FAMOUS club brand is bringing some of the UK’s biggest names in house and disco to County Durham this summer.
Hardwick Festival returns to the grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel, at Sedgefield, from 21 to 22 August, with a stellar line up including Nile Rodgers and CHIC, Rag’n’Bone Man, Maximo Park, Razorlight, Imelda May and Embrace.
And organisers have revealed that renowned club brand Glitterbox is back by popular demand, with Dave Lee ZR and Mousse T just some of the DJs taking to the Courtyard stage on Saturday, followed by To The Manor Born on Sunday.
Known for its inclusive party atmosphere and world-class line ups, Glitterbox has gained a dedicated fanbase around the world, hosting packed events across Europe, Australia and the United States.
Headliner Dave Lee ZR is often linked to the birth of disco and house in the UK, with decades of remixes and compilations under his belt and two of his own albums, including the hugely popular Produced With Love.
He is joined on the line up by German DJ Mousse T, best known for co-writing and producing the top 10 house hits Horny ‘98 and Tom Jones’ Sex Bomb, and has worked with a string of popular artists including Roachford, Ziggy Marley and Mezzoforte.
Also taking to the decks are The Shapeshifters, who have worked on productions and remixes for George Michael, Moby, Christina Aguilera and Leona Lewis, along with the ‘voice’ of Glitterbox, Melvo Baptiste, known for his high energy DJ sets.
To The Manor Born takes over the space on Sunday, with sets from Sandy Rivera, best known for his hit Finally with Kings of Tomorrow, and Jo Manji, who has been in the industry for nearly three decades.
And music fans can also hear tracks from DJ and radio presenter Brandon Block, Alex P – who made his name in Ibiza in the late 80s – and Pete Wharrier, who has warmed up for the likes of Dimitri From Paris, Phil Asher and Louie Vega.
John Adamson, who owns Hardwick Hall Hotel, is delighted to welcome Glitterbox back for another year.

Tickets for this year’s Hardwick Festival are currently on sale at £55 for one day or £99 for both days plus booking fees. Concession tickets are available for children and 13-17-year-olds.
