On April 10th, The Delia Arts Foundation presents LIVE FOR GAZA: a live stream event that unites a fine cast of musicians to celebrate the launch of the first Delia Arts Center in Gaza, Palestine.

The fundraising event featuring legendary Roger Waters, Palestinian superstar Mohammed Assaf; Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello; producer extraordinaire duo Roger & Brian Eno; Adnan Joubran from Le Trio Joubran, and various other artists who will perform songs in support of musicians from Gaza and Palestine. The event will sell tickets that will be 100% redirected to building basic infrastructure for musicians in Gaza to learn, rehearse, record, release, and perform.

LIVE FOR GAZA highlights the work the Delia Arts Foundation has been doing in Palestine, providing the tools, infrastructure, and resources to make dreams a reality for talented young musicians. The event’s line-up presents an eclectic blend of Palestinian musicians and household names covering a wide range of music styles in favor of diversity and equality.

Roger Waters, in support of the Delia Arts Foundation on April 10, dedicates the Worldwide Premiere of his new video, The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range, to LIVE FOR GAZA and the musicians from the Gaza Strip. The song, which features a specially written new verse, is part of the Encore Series recorded with his band during the continuing lockdown.

Mohammed Assaf, the Palestinian singer who became a pop star in the MENA region after winning the second edition of Arab Idol while also serving as the United Nations regional youth ambassador, will showcase some of his songs. Through an exclusive interview, Assaf will share his personal experiences of launching an international career out of Gaza and the struggles he faced - just like the musicians using the Delia Arts Center are trying to do.

Long-time political activist and Rock Star Tom Morello will perform an unreleased song that pays homage to the problems musicians in Gaza currently face, supporting the Delia Arts Foundation’s mission. He is a founding member of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave.

Producer extraordinaire Brian Eno joins forces with his brother Roger Eno to perform ‘Celeste’ - a commissioned audiovisual artwork comprised of soundscapes and video art showcasing images from the city of Gaza. Brian Eno has long been a supporter of social justice causes and is no stranger to using music as a vehicle to ignite positive change.

LIVE FOR GAZA will also feature prominent Palestinian musicians such as singers Rola Azar, Lina Slebi, and Adnan Joubran from Le Trio Joubran - featured on Coldplay’s 2019 album - and performances from local musicians live from the Delia Arts Center, on the ground, in the Gaza Strip.

100% of the funds raised from ticket sales and donations will directly support activities on the ground to benefit talented musicians in Gaza.

Tickets for LIVE FOR GAZA are available through Eventbrite above. All relevant information is available on the LIVE FOR GAZA Facebook Event page.
