Gus Dapperton’s debut album’s release is fast approaching, with Where Polly People Go To Read due on April 19th via AWAL Records. Today, he’s shared a third song from the album, the smooth r&b-tinged “Fill Me Up Anthem.” The song joins his previously released album tracks, the drama-filled “World Class Cinema” and his slow-tempo love song “My Favorite Fish.”
Dapperton is currently on a lengthy European tour, playing sold out shows in the UK and Paris and was also recently named part of Warby Parker's “Wearing Warby" series, highlighting their customers who use glasses as a tool to accomplish some pretty great things.
In a short period of time, Dapperton has gone from bedroom dreamer to headlining artist, and with due cause. He quietly ascended to the forefront of the pop conversation on the heels of viral smashes such as “Prune, You Talk Funny” and “I’m Just Snacking,” and accompanied by videos which burst with style, charisma and a cinematic eye. He was named as Highsnobiety’s “10 New Artists To Watch in 2019 “ and Teen Vogue’s “16 Young Musicians You Need To Be Listening To in 2019, “ and has earned acclaim from the likes of NY Times, i-D, Vogue, The Fader and Pigeons & Planes.
