Rising singer-songwriter Jacob Banks today shares the video for his brand new version of “Love Ain’t Enough”, featuring grime rapper Ghetts. The “Love Ain’t Enough” video, Jacob reveals, “celebrates the outsiders who still somehow always find a way to matter.” Of the collaboration, he said: “I grew up being a super fan of Ghetts, from ‘Top 3 Selected’ to Ghetto Gospel. He’s a living pioneer and legend on the UK scene and so i’m humbled to have his blessing on this joint”.

The powerful visual is first of three original videos directed by Jacob in partnership with YouTube Music Artist on the Rise, an emerging artist program dedicated to supporting up-and-coming talent. YouTube hand-selected Jacob as their December Artist on the Rise following the release of his debut album Village, recognising not only his incredible vocal talent but his innate ability to offer different perspectives through compelling visuals.

The original song features on Jacob’s album, Village, the hotly-anticipated debut out now via Polydor Records. Inspired by the proverb “it takes a village”, the album explores human themes and experiences, both good and bad, that universally shape our lives. Village was recorded alongside notable producers including Paul Epworth (Adele, James Bay, FKA twigs) and Malay (Frank Ocean, Sam Smith, Lorde), and features previously released tracks “Be Good To Me,” “Love Ain’t Enough,” “Chainsmoking,” “Unknown (To You),” and “Slow Up” (see full track listing below). Jacob recently performed tracks “Slow Up” and “Chainsmoking” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, as well as receiving album praise from the likes of Dua Lipa who tweeted out to her fans – “Village as told by Jacob Banks is a very good album”. Previously Jacob also performed his critically-acclaimed song “Unknown (To You)” on Later… with Jools Holland, and he stopped by Billboard to give fans a sneak peek of Village. The Village tour marks Jacob’s second headlining world tour, following last year’s Into The Wild tour. Jacob completed the sold out UK/European leg at the end of the year, including a show at London’s Roundhouse, and now embarks across the states.

From opening for artists including Emeli Sandé, Sam Smith, and Alicia Keys to playing major festivals like Coachella, SXSW, Austin City Limits, and Lollapalooza, Jacob has captivated audiences around the globe. His live shows have been raved about, with LA Weekly proclaiming “UK-based, Nigeria-born artist Jacob Banks lets his art speak for itself, proving he’s a force to reckon with in the music game,” and Atlanta’s WABE declaring “Banks is proving himself one of the most promising up and coming musicians today.”
