Goldenvoice has announced that Nigerian afrobeat icon, Burna Boy, will be supporting Popcaan in his upcoming UK tour that is set to happen in just two weeks. Popcaan is a hugely successful Jamaican artist that has worked with chart toppers Drake, Jamie XX, AlunaGeorge and Gorillaz amongst others, and recently released his highly anticipated sophomore album ‘Forever’ on Mixpak. The tour will kick off at The SSE Arena, Wembley London on Thursday 6 December with tickets available here.
The world-renowned artist who has been a part of some of the decades biggest hits will take to London, Manchester and Birmingham this December in a rare string of UK appearances. The ‘Forever’ shows are a prime opportunity for fans to hear Popcaan perform his hottest tracks up close and personal. The first single ‘Body So Good’ from his second album ‘Forever’, “makes the case that he has another breakthrough in the works” says Pitchfork.
The king of dancehall rhythms is a global phenomenon with hundreds of millions of views on YouTube. At previous shows he has welcomed massive artists such as Stefflon Don, D Double E, Lady Leshurr and Ghetts to his stage. Noted as “the face of a standalone movement” for “staying true to his roots” from Dazed, these UK performances are set to be unmissable.
