Few artists have a moment in which they can retire at the top of their game, but that’s exactly what Boyzone are doing. 25 years after first forming, the overwhelming love shown to them has resulted in a surprise second peak era of their career with today’s release of their farewell album ‘Thank You & Goodnight’.

There’s a huge tour on the horizon (21 arena shows, many of which will soon be sold-out) and their profile is as big as ever, with recent promo including The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV and Chris Evans at Radio 2. They’ve also called on some famous friends to celebrate their final lap, with Gary Barlow co-writing the recent single ‘Love’ and Ed Sheeran penning ‘Because’. And they’ve taken a chance to look back too, by paying tribute to the beloved Stephen Gately with ‘Dream’.

Today also finds Boyzone sharing their new single ‘Tongue Tied’ which features Alesha Dixon.

In a detour from what you’d expect, ‘Tongue Tied’ finds the boys moving confidently into modern R&B as dynamic beats back the interplay between their vocal harmonies and Alesha Dixon’s sassy lead. The track was produced by Swedish hit-makers Goldfingers (John Newman) and co-written by them with Camille Purcell (Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit), Andrew Bullimore (Chainsmokers, Galantis) and David Ezra.

Boyzone commented, “We’ve been friends with Alesha for a long time so to get the chance to hear her stunning voice on this track is amazing. The sound of ‘Tongue Tied’ may surprise a few people but to us, it’s absolutely Boyzone.”

In the coming weeks, Boyzone are confirmed for Strictly for Children In Need on November 16th, and will also sign copies of ‘Thank You & Goodnight’ at HMV’s Oxford Street brand on November 20th. They’ll then say farewell with the following shows:
