What message does your song give? The subject of this song can be seen from different point of views that make the lyrics intriguing as when you hear them, they become personal to the listener. The subject of the song is love but love on different levels, it can be the spiritual love, or else it can also be the physical passionate love. It can also refer to the mental love which structures itself around friendship whilst some can also see from a completely different light, as they relate it to the love they show towards their relatives. When I sing it, I always have my son in mind. It's a very special song to me.
Are you a big Eurovision fan? Why/Why Not?: Yes I am quite passionate about Eurovision. Usually when the big show comes along in May, I always organize a big Eurovision party at home. It's always a lot of fun! We do our own voting system too!
Your favourite Maltese Eurovision Song of all time?: MORE THAN LOVE by Moira and Chris
Your favourite European Eurovision Song of all time?: EVERY WAY THAT I CAN by Sertab
Who inspires you as an Artist?: Alicia Keys. She is so talented. I love the fact that she plays the piano (like me), writes, arranges and produces all her music. She has got a fantastic voice too and I love her work.
Would you share highlights from your music career during the last 12 months? : I participate in Festival Internazzjonali Kanzunetta Maltija during which I won the Best Interpretation Award. I was also in the studio working on a collaboration for a chill-out album which will be released later this year.
What are your goals in music ? : I would like to continue doing music which people will relate to and get inspired by, and I would love to get my music published one day.
How much time per day do you spend on your music career? : I am also a Music Teacher, so I have to admit that some days I am too busy. But I always spare some hours a week to my music writing and singing.
If you had to choose another Artist to duet with, who would that be and why? Olivia Lewis, because I love her voice. We have known each other for a long time, and yet we never sung together.
Tell us why you should be Malta’s representative in Denmark ?: I will leave the Maltese and Gozitan public and the jury to decide that. I will however bring all my experience, passion for music and professionalism to the competition. I can't wait to sing my heart out on that stage. Good luck to all my fellow participants.
