One of the key figures taking part in the 2012 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is definitely Anggun, the woman who hails from Indonesia but has managed a major career in France by virtue of singing in the official language of the latter country. Earlier this year, she came to Malta as part of her promotional tour all over Europe noting that the French broadcaster; France 3 chose her to represent the nation at this years' continental spectacle. Following days and weeks of waiting, the song was unveiled to be 'Echo (You and I)', a pop song with several other genre influences. It seems to work well with the public in general. During her short visit to our country, she seems to have made a number of friends including none other than Malta Eurovision Song Contest runner-up; Claudia Faniello.

The two female singers plan to record a duet together according to the French artist who most recently gave an interview to the 'Rest of the World OGAE Group' where she made this revelation. The local starlet Claudia Faniello has been supported by the public following her loss at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest despite coming in fourth position with the public. They have showed solidarity towards the artist even by virtue of buying her song 'Pure' which was released to Itunes days after the loss. The song was a major hit managing to spend almost a whole week at number #1 in the charts and it could still be found at position #41 at the moment. Success clearly finds the artist in several other methods other than the Malta Eurovision Song Contest having now finished in second place on two occasions, in 2008 with 'Caravaggio' and in 2012 with 'Pure'.
