Taylor Swift è in testa alle nomination dei MTV Video Music Award 2023.
Sono otto i meriti attribuiti alla cantante che potrebbe diventare l'artista più premiata nella storia dei VMA, se riuscisse a portare a casa almeno sei premi (al momento ha 14 VMA) sbaragliando così Madonna che ne vanta 20.
A dominare la gara sono tutte artiste di sesso femminile: SZA è in corsa per sei premi, mentre Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, Kim Petras e Nicki Minaj sono a ridosso con cinque nomination ciascuna.
Anche Sam Smith ha ottenuto cinque nomination, mentre Shakira, BLACKPINK e Diddy sono stati premiati in quattro categorie.
Per la prima volta da quando è stata introdotta la categoria Artista dell'anno nel 2017, tutti i candidati sono donne: dalla Swift a Doja, passando per Minaj, Shakira, Beyoncé e Karol G.
Il successo della Swift, Anti-Hero, ha ottenuto sette nomination: Video dell'anno, Canzone dell'anno, Miglior Pop, Miglior Fotografia, Miglior Montaggio, Migliori Effetti Visivi e Miglior Regia.
Gli MTV Video Music Awards 2023 si terranno il 12 settembre al Prudential Center di Newark, New Jersey.
