Dua Lipa ha conquistato i BRIT Awards 2018.
Dopo aver intascato cinque nomination, la cantante è in lizza per il premio British Female Solo Artist e Best Breakthrough Act, mentre il suo debutto omonimo è citato per il prestigioso premio British Album of the Year.
Gli altri consensi raccolti dalla critica sono per il brano 'New Rules', presente nel British Single e British Artist Video of the Year.
In coda a Dua con quattro nomination c'é Ed Sheeran, che per il suo disco da record, '÷ (divide)' è citato nella categoria album dell'anno assieme al brano 'Shape of You', in lizza per il miglior singolo e video.
Ed è stato nominato anche nella sezione British Male Solo Artist, dove sfiderà Liam Gallagher, Liam Payne, Rag'N'Bone Man e Loyle Carner.
La cantante di 'New Rules' affronterà nella sezione British Female Solo Artist Paloma Faith, Kate Tempest, Jessie Ware e Laura Marling; mentre nominati per Best British Group sono: Gorillaz, Wolf Alice, London Grammar, The xx, Royal Blood.
Anche il rapper J Hus ha intascato quattro nomination, il cui album 'Common Sense' gareggia per il British Album of the Year, premio a cui ambisce insieme ai lavori di Ed, Dua, 'Humanz' dei Gorillaz e 'Gang Signs & Prayer' di Stormzy.
La cerimonia sarà ospitata dal comico britannico Jack Whitehall e si svolgerà presso l'O2 Arena di Londra il 21 febbraio 2018.
