THUNDER ANNOUNCE EXPANDED REISSUES OF ALBUMS
THE MAGNIFICENT SEVENTH
ROBERT JOHNSON’S TOMBSTONE
BANG!

British rock icons Thunder have announced the final trio in their recent expanded reissue releases on BMG, featuring their three albums ‘The Magnificent Seventh’, ‘Robert Johnson’s Tombstone’ and ‘Bang!’.

This will be the first time the three albums have ever been available on vinyl, with the reissues all being available on 2LP and CD digipack; as well as all formats featuring rare, deleted and unreleased bonus tracks.

The band have today shared a lyric video for a previously unheard live version of ‘On The Radio’ from ‘Bang!’, recorded at Rock City in Nottingham in 2008.

Back in the saddle after various side projects, 2005 saw Thunder return with their seventh studio album, ‘The Magnificent Seventh’, produced by lead guitarist and songwriter Luke Morley. The album featured tracks such as ‘The Gods Of Love’, ‘You Can’t Keep A Good Man Down’, and ‘I Love You More Than Rock N Roll’, which became their first Top 30 UK Singles Chart entry since 1997.

‘Robert Johnson's Tombstone’ was conceived on a late night drive and its title track is inspired by the mysterious story of the blues musician Johnson. Released in 2006, a rootsy and bluesy sound is laced throughout standout tracks such as ‘The Devil Made Me Do It’, ‘Andy Warhol Said’ and ‘Last Man Standing’.

Released in 2008, ‘Bang!’ would be the last album released before Thunder’s second split, and their ongoing reformation a couple of years later, and a gap of seven years between albums until 2015’s ‘Wonder Days’. Recorded at Walton Castle in Somerset, the album features tracks such as ‘On The Radio’, ‘Carol Ann’, and ‘Stormwater’.

We have a set of the expanded reissue albums on vinyl: The Magnificent Seventh, Robert Johnson’s Tombstone, Bang!
