Bastille

Bastille, who are led by lead singer and founder of the band Dan Smith, have only been together for 3 years, but that hasn’t stopped them receiving a number 1 (UK) debut album and will soon be headlining a tour, following their recent success supporting highly recognised artists such as Muse and Dizzee Rascal.

Laura Palmer starts off with a melodic beat before Smith’s voice bellows, taking full control of the song. The chorus, is full of emotion with lyrics ‘this is your heart, can you feel it, can you feel it’, which encapsulates the listener. Much like most of the songs on Bad Blood, Laura Palmer is extremely catchy and an easy listen.

However take nothing away from the 5th single, which offers a fast paced beat, especially from the drums! It’s almost set up perfectly to be played in an arena and I for one will certainly enjoy hearing it this weekend (May 26th) whilst Bastille are supporting Muse!
