With modern music now growing so vibrant in sound the various branches have their ups and downs. The gem that is soul rock have now gained a new frontrunner. Following up to their debut This Is The Computers rockers The Computers release their second album “Love Triangles Hate Squares” on April 29th through One Little Indian

Suited up and full of soul the Exeter group have been to the home of their genre Georgia in the US to record this new album with Black Keys producer Mark Neill compiling their love of rock’n’roll with the energy of punk to make this their second effort. Offering many sounds from swinging 60’s today the album begins with aptly named ‘Bring Me The Head Of A Hipster’ and the jazzy flow and twangy guitar sets sail of whats yet to come. Peaking at danceroom fillers ‘Selina Chinese’ and ‘Mr Saturday Night’ to heartbreak lament ‘C R U E L’ the album travels through a modern day soul masterpiece. Tuneful yet infectious.

Breaking off the mainstream and doing it in style, I say the world needs more soul rock.
