Music legend Billy Ocean will this Sunday night (22.11) grace the famous Strictly Come Dancing dance floor with a medley of the music behind his illustrious career. After recently celebrating his seventieth birthday (and an MBE) with the release of his first album in ten years, ‘One World’, he is set to bring his feel-good performance to UK primetime TV yet again.

Bringing some much-needed cheer to our lives, Sunday night will see 1986’s global chart-topping hit ‘When The Going Gets Tough (The Tough Get Going)’ accompanied by Billy’s joint second best all-time UK charting records; ‘Love Really Hurts Without You’ (1976) and ‘Red Light Spells Danger’ (1977). As if Strictly needed any more glitter, two of the tracks (‘When The Going Gets Tough (The Tough Get Going) and ‘Love Really Hurts Without You’) are certified Gold, with ‘Red Light Spells Danger’ being certified Silver! With these three tracks alone have achieving over 221 million streams and millions of physical single sales sales over the past five decades, the performance is set to shoot Billy’s positivity and infectious groove right through the nation’s TV screens to Strictly’s 10 million viewers.

This appearance marks Billy’s fourth national television appearance in 6 weeks with previous fantastic performances on ITV’s ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ and ‘This Morning’, plus Channel 4’s ‘Sunday Brunch.’ With a nationwide tour postponed until 2021, Billy continued to mark the year in style with the release of ‘One World.’ His long awaited and highly anticipated eleventh studio album brought the message of love to the world when it needed it most.

‘One World’ is available now.
