In season two of this playful series, recorded from home in lockdown, our favourite P.Is are determined to get to the bottom of pop myths that range from possibly true to completely insane. This time, our super sleuths will dig deeper into a treasure trove of pop culture myths and call upon experts to weigh in with some cold, hard facts.
Throughout season two, our sharp sherlocks will discuss tall tales including: Was Miley Cyrus used as a political distraction tool by Barack Obama? Was Gene Wilder a Kaiser Chiefs fan? Does Cher really request a wig room wherever she goes?
Speaking on the podcast, Ricky & Tony said: “We’re excited for listeners to hear this new selection of suitably weird, wild and wonderful musical mysteries. Despite not sharing our beloved office space on Holloway Road at the moment, we’ve come together (virtually) to solve the mysteries the music world has been waiting for. The work of a Pop Detective never ends.”
Season two of the eight episode podcast launches on 9th June, with new episodes available on all major podcast platforms every Tuesday thereafter.
