Nick Jonas has "so many bad date stories".
The 22-year-old musician is currently dating former Miss USA Olivia Culpo. But before they got together in August last year, Nick didn't have the best of luck with the ladies.
"I have so many bad date stories," he revealed to the American edition of Cosmopolitan. "There was a few where, like, alcohol was involved and it just got really bad. Those weren't necessarily the worst dates. The worst dates are when people, like, know more about me than is comfortable."
Nick first came to people's attention with his brothers Joe and Kevin as a musical trio called the Jonas Brothers. They starred in a Disney Channel series titled Jonas L.A. and he went on to date fellow stars Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez before finding love with Olivia at the 2013 Miss USA pageant. The singer has enough experience in the dating scene to offer up advice to his fans if they are struggling with a breakup.
"I would say you really gotta check yourself, if you feel like it's worth fighting for or not," he said. "And if it doesn't feel like it is and if your friends - friends know who you are. If they say it's not worth it, follow their lead and do your best to get through it."
Nick is currently promoting his self titled album, which features a number of songs that he thinks couples will appreciate.
"I really try to be aware of the purpose of each song," he told Flaunt magazine. "There are songs on my record that I want people to have sex to, and songs people can listen to when they're pissed off. And I think that's the beautiful thing about music: that in those moments, you hear it and it elevates the scenario."
