On top of the summer dates the group release their new live album from the inspired settings of Manchester Cathedral. Covering songs from both two epic New Order albums 'Movement' and 'Power, Corruption & Lies' comes the 26 track release of 'Live at Manchester Cathedral' by 'Play Concert', which is now available from their site;

For the first time Peter Hook and The Light play songs from both of these New Order albums, capturing all the power, urgency and force of nature on tracks like 'Dreams Never End', 'Age of Consent', Chosen Time' and 'Your Silent Face' is clearly picked up. Only recently released on 22nd of April 'Live at Manchester Cathedral' performances have already been noted as a set of shows that you 'should of been there' but via a sharp/clear recording and an equally as sharp performance 'Live at Manchester Cathedral' cutely catches every bounce, thrust and bass note on the night, a recording of a performance that pays testament to its reviews;

“There was never any doubt that this gig by the New Order legend and his new band was to be something quite extraordinary… Hooky’s bouncing, bending stage presence give this whole performance the urgency and, aptly, movement that it might be said is lacking in the ‘other’ New Order’s live performances of the past year.” Manchester Evening News

“This isn't a simple run-through of Movement, either. Tracks have been carefully and subtly updated. There's a lot of hard work gone into this set. Veering from the albums’ content, we're also given bouncing reinterpretations of "Temptation" and "Blue Monday", sending the Cathedral's congregation into the Manchester night with a Ready-Brek glow".
