There are dozens of music halls of fame that have sprung up around the country. Almost every state has one along with a number of localities.
The latest belongs to what would have to be considered one of the most important cities to blues, R&B, jazz, country and rock, Memphis, TN.
The Memphis Music Hall of Fame is tied in with the Smithsonian developed Memphis Rock N Soul Museum which is housed on historic Beale Street. The hall recently announced their initial roster of 25 artists who will be inducted.
