Martin Rossiter, noted for being the lead singer of the British indie band Gene, has announced six live dates for November.

As well as currently writing and recording solo material, Martin is also a member of the band Call Me Jolene. Martin Rossiter will release his debut solo album 'The Defenestration Of St. Martin' on Monday 26th November 2012. It is available to pre-order now through the fan funded music site PledgeMusic here. http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/martinrossiter

Here's a short message from Martin: "I’ve wanted to make this album for years. Ten beautiful songs, secular hymns, piano and voice – nothing to detract or distract from the melody and the words. Some of these words will undoubtedly make you cry. The melodies will turn to flesh the most calcified heart. For those of you with a chipper disposition you’re clearly here in error. However, while I have your attention, there may be the odd moment for you. 1% of the all of the money raised will go to the League Against Cruel Sports. They work tirelessly giving a voice to the voiceless. After we’ve covered all of our costs we will up the pledge to them to 3% of profits.

'The Defenestration of St Martin' tracklisting is as follows:

1. Three Points on a Compass
2. I Want To Choose When I Sleep Alone
3. No One Left To Blame 4. Sing It Loud
5. Where There Are Pixels
6. I Must Be Jesus
7. My Heart’s Designed for Pumping Blood
8. Drop Anchor
9. Darling Sorrow
10. Let the Waves Carry

Martin will support the release of 'The Defenestration Of St. Martin' with six live shows in November.
