Back in December 2011, our very own Dean Midas Maynard predicted big things for Newcastle based, Dubstep band, Rossi Noise. Five months on and we have caught up with them...
Rossi Noise are a 5 piece band, heavy in beats with dub influences, fusing Dubstep, Dance, Drum and Bass, Hip Hop and Rock into cinematic proportions. In a very short space of time, the band have come a very long way.
In January 2012, Rossi Noise were invited to attend the BBC Introducing Masterclass at Maida Vale and Abbey Road studios in London in January and have enjoyed regular air-play on Tom Robinsons’ show on BBC 6.
They are also confirmed to play at many of the festivals taking place across the UK this summer, including Evolution in Newcastle on June 3rd, the Riverside festival, Stamford on July 7th, Kush Kamp, Essex on July 14th, The Mouth of the Tyne festival, Tynemouth on July 15th and Cockrock, Cumbria on July 22nd. As you can see, the band are very much in demand.
Before that though, Rossi Noise play the legendary Dublin Castle, Camden Town, London on Friday 18th May. Dublin Castle is famous around the world and it's stage has been graced by everyone from Madness, Blur, Coldplay, Supergrass, The Killers, The Arctic Monkeys and Billy Bragg, amongst many, many others.
So if you are in the Camden area on the 18th May, go and see Rossi Noise as they join rock and roll royalty by playing Dublin Castle.
