Having reformed The Buggles Trevor Horn and co played a surprise gig Tuesday night at the British Music Experience at The O2.

The English New Wave band consisting of Trevor Horn (vocals, bass guitar, guitar) and Geoff Downes (keyboards, drums, percussion) are generally remembered for their 1979 debut single "Video Killed the Radio Star" which hit #1 in 16 countries and was the first music video to be shown on MTV.

The evening kicked off with a Q&A with both Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes in which they explained the title of their debut album.
"Some journalists were less than complementary when reviewing Video Killed The Radio Star saying it sounded 'plastic' so we thought 'fuck it' lets call it 'The Age of Plastic'" explained Trevor.

The live show kicked off with an accomplished cover of 'Two Tribes' by Frankie Goes To Hollywood before knocking out their classic 'Video Killed The Radio Star' - see the video below. Another highlighted included 'Slave To The Rhythm' sung by a svelte Alison Moyet looking in tremendous form.

In other news Trevor's new project - Producers - have finally finished their début album, and it's set for release in March 2011.
