Lady Gaga was reportedly so keen to see Britain’s royal family during her UK trip she splashed out on a pair of expensive binoculars.
The eccentric American singer is a huge fan of the royals, particularly Queen Elizabeth II.
She was apparently desperate to find out what goes on in Buckingham Palace and chose a hotel with views of the grounds during her recent visit to London.
Gaga checked into exclusive The Lanesborough in London and invested in an expensive pair of binoculars to give her the best view possible.
"She is totally obsessed with the royals. One of the reasons she loves that hotel is because of how close she is to the queen,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.
"This time she thought ahead and brought a pair of really high-tech binoculars with her. She hopes she'll eventually get to see Her Majesty walking the corgis in the garden."
The hotel is close to Buckingham Palace and some of the best rooms offer a view of the queen’s London home.
It has been reported Gaga has been staying by the window in her suite in the hope of catching a glimpse of the monarch or her husband Prince Phillip.
The 25-year-old star has made no secret of her interest in the British royal family.
She hosted a British-themed tea party to celebrate the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in April.
Gaga is also believed to have splashed out £10,000 on memorabilia from the nuptials.
