A jury of seven men and five women have been sworn in for the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray for involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. Opening statements are scheduled for Tuesday.

Neil Young will be releasing a memoir, Waging Heavy Peace, next fall (2012) via Blue Rider Press. Company president David Rosenthal said "This promises to be a revealing, intimate book that will provide the window into Neil's life and career that fans and admirers have always wanted."

The hosts of VH1 Classic's That Metal Show (Eddie Trunk, Jim Florentine, Don Jamieson) voted Black Country Communion as the Best New Band of the Last Ten Years. The group, with members Glenn Hughes, Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian, beat out Chickenfoot, Buckcherry, Danko Jones and Five Finger Death Punch.

Emmy Award winning director Alan G. Parker is currently working on a documentary on British veterans Status Quo. Currently titled Hello Quo!, it is being scheduled for a Fall 2012 release.
