Legendary singer songwriter , Marc Almond, celebrates the release of his new album, 'Varieté', with a short acoustic set and signing session at HMV's flagship Oxford Street store, in London's West End on Monday 7th June 2010.
Marc Almond, whose career has spanned almost 30 years and sold in excess of 35 million records, kicks off the in-store acoustic performance at 6.00 pm, after which, Marc will remain in the store to meet fans and sign copies of his new album which is released the same day.
'Varieté' is Marc's first complete album of self-written songs since 'Open All Night', over a decade ago. In this, his 30th year as a recording artist, 'Varieté', revisits the eras of his personal and musical life providing an eloquent and sometimes nostalgic, insight into what defines him as a performer. The highly anticipated, new album follows Marc's much acclaimed 'Orpheus In Exile' album in 2009, where Marc joined creative forces with Russian producer and musical arranger Alexei Fedorov.
