Jay Reatard's funeral takes place

Garage rocker Jay Reatard has been laid to rest after being found dead at his home in Memphis on Wednesday January 13.

The 29-year old musician’s death is being investigated being investigated by Memphis Police as a homicide as a matter of precaution but police will not make an official announcement until after the results of the autopsy are through.

Police have since pointed out that a homicide investigation is to determine if someone has been murdered. They do not suspect anyone over the death of Jay Reatard.

The body of Jimmy Lee Lindsay Jr (aka Jay Reatard) was discovered by a friend at around 3.30am on January 13.
