Acoustic singer, songwriter/guitarist Nick Harper who last week performed at the Royal Albert Hall, today (October 7) flies out to Peru in support of the Love Hope Strength Foundation cancer charity.

He, together with a team of musicians including Mike Peters (The Alarm), Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats), Cy Curnin and Jamie West-Oram (The Fixx) and members of Texas band Fastball, will embark on Peru Rocks: a 10-day mission to Machu Picchu – ‘The Lost City of the Incas’ - followed by a concert celebration in Lima.

Each participant will raise funds to donate to the Love Hope Strength Foundation (LHS). LHS will use these funds to purchase much needed cancer screening and treatment equipment for ALINEN. ALINEN is the Supporting System for the National Neoplastic Hospital (INEN) in Peru. This equipment will go a long way in saving the lives of thousands of people battling cancer in the region.

The event will once again be filmed by Alex Coletti, award winning
producer/director whose past credits include the music series MTV Unplugged, 5 MTV Video Music Award shows and the LHS documentary Everest Rocks which premiered on September 7 2008.
