Blyk, the new free mobile network for 16-24 year olds funded by advertising, has teamed up exclusively with Europe’s biggest free music festival, Rise to promote the event and offer its members a ‘money can’t buy’ experience for the day. This will include a show-stopping opening performance from Blyk member, Casso Blax, on the main stage.

Through this partnership, Blyk will link Rise with its 65,000+ members in London, all aged 16-24. Blyk will promote the festival by texting them the line-up so they can track down their favourite bands on the day, and offer them free wallpaper and ring tones from Rise artists. An exclusive competition will award successful fans backstage access on the day so they can rub shoulders with headliners CSS and other acts including Jimmy Cliff, Sharon Jones, The Dap Kings and the Dub Pistols. A select few will also have the opportunity to plump up their very own Blyk beanbag and enjoy the event from a prime position onstage!

The high profile acts at the festival will be preceded by up and coming grime act and Blyk member, 22 year old Casso Blax. He joins the Blyk music roster, with the same exposure to Blyk members as the likes of CSS, Dizzee Rascal, Lethal Bizzle and DJ Ironik. Like these stars, he can invite his fans on to the Blyk network to engage with them directly and send them exclusive content straight to their mobile phones.

According to Casso, “I was dropping off a few demos and I never thought that after leaving one with Blyk I’d end up performing on the same stage as CSS. Watch this space.“

Rise Festival 2008 will be held at Finsbury Park on Sunday 13th July.
