Following on from their sold out April tour, Elbow have announced a special trip to the woods this Summer when they will be appearing at Delamere Forest, Cheshire.

The concert will be a local show for the band and their gig will be supporting the Forestry Commission’s valuable social and environmental programmes.

Elbow’s 4th album ' The Seldom Seen Kid' was released in March to huge critical acclaim and radio airplay including exclusive sessions with Zane Lowe on Radio 1 and Radcliffe and Maconie on Radio 2. The latest album release follows on from 2005’s ‘Leaders Of The Free World’, ‘Cast Of Thousands’ (2003) and the 2001 Mercury Prize short-listed ‘Asleep At The Back’.

The band commented 'We always love playing gigs in unusual places. We've never done a gig in a forest before so we're really looking forward to it.'

The Elbow headline show replaces the previously scheduled James Morrison concert that had to be cancelled due to his recording commitments.

Elbow will be performing at:

Delamere Forest, Linmere, Delamere, Cheshire on Saturday 14th June 2008

Tickets £23.50 (subject to booking fee) are available from 9.00am on Friday 18th April 2008 from: 01842 814612 or buy on line from www.forestry.gov.uk/music.
