Neil Aspinall, the one time Beatles road manager and boyhood friend of Paul McCartney and George Harrison, has died after a battle with cancer. Aspinall, 66, stepped down last year from his post as chief executive of Apple Corps, during which time he was the exetutive producer of the Beatles Anthology and the Beatles 1 albums.

The long time friend of the Beatles passed away at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center over the easter weekend.
